Seattle Quake Scenario could kill 1600

Yikes, that’s some scary stuff in there. As if we didn’t have enough to worry about, what with a HUGE dormant volcano in our backyard, and a port that could easily be used for some nasty terrorism-type activities.

Ah, Disneyworld. Or is that Disney World? You would think that after a week here, I would know. Au contraire – all I know is that I have been to the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney/MGM Studios over the course of the past 5 days.

I’ve always been a big fan of MusicPlasma, especially given my thoughts to integrate it with a playlist generator.

Now, Amazon reports that MusicPlasma has become “LivePlasma” - must check this out…

The Two Washingtons

Yes, I know, we already have two Washingtons (DC and WA), but now, from the Puget Sound Business Journal, we have a story about actually splitting Washington STATE into 2 separate states.

There has long been an defacto split between Eastern Washington (agricultural) and Western Washington (high tech), but this is the first that I’ve heard about actually splitting a state in two. Is this guy serious?

Pretty cool, new blog from the fine folks over at Gawker Media (you might have already read one of their other blogs. Lifehacker has tips and tricks for making your life (online and otherwise) easier. I was a bit turned off when I looked at the banner image and saw “Sponsored by Sony”, but hey - who isn’t sponsored by Sony these days… :)
This is their mantra:

Mr. Sun calls them the “Dirty Dozen”. Very funny overview of his attempts to categorize/stereotype the other parents at the youth sports games he attends. Is this what I have to look forward to as my kids get older and get involved in more sports? Just remember, Noah, you can choose not to become evil… :)
