Anne and I got out last night and caught the Jamie Cullum show at the Century Ballroom. Fantastic show and a great venue — we’re very glad that we went. Jamie has a great voice, and an amazing stage presence. Very audience-involved, always in motion, not only playing the piano with some hella chops, but drumming on, on-top-of, and underneath the piano. He did some originals, some classics, and some newer covers (the Radiohead and Jimi Hendrix ones were my favorites). And, the Century was a fun place to see a show. Small and intimate, we sat at a table for 2 in the middle of the floor, had dinner before the show, and watched / listened to the music. Great night, and one that reminded me (although I love being a parent) how much fun it is to go out just with Anne.
