New visual search engine for music

A graphic-oriented search engine to help you explore artists related to an artist you already dig. For instance, I like Pete Rock. Musicplasma produces a browseable constellation of other aesthetically related funkateers — snip from the chart shown here.

Google Newsmap

April 15, 2004 9:39 am

Wow — what else to say? Check it out.

Bloody hell. Newsmap. A rolling visual representation of the Google News stream.

Newsmap… provides a tool to divide information into quickly recognizable bands which, when presented together, reveal underlying patterns in news reporting across cultures and within news segments in constant change around the globe. Newsmap does not pretend to replace the googlenews aggregator. It’s objective is to simply demonstrate visually the relationships between data and the unseen patterns in news media.
